Black Education Leaders Building Communities

WE'RE BOLD

BOLD Leadership Network provides community support and resources for all leaders to advance equity and the opportunity for all students and communities to thrive.

Black students, especially Black boys from low-income households, are 39% more likely to graduate from high school and enroll in college when they have just one Black teacher in elementary school.*

Yet, only 2% of educators are Black males.

BOLD IS THE CHANGE

Our four key areas of focus allow us to reach into the education community and offer resources and safe spaces for conversations and growth.

BOLD
Conversations

Open discussions designed to embrace the community with experts in the field of education around areas of impact and opportunity.

BOLD Leadership Fellowship

Personalized leadership training that provides participants with proven strategies to improve outcomes in their communities and organizations.

BOLD
Battle Buddies

An affinity group to create a safe space for Black education professionals who may not feel heard, seen or understood in their larger community.

BOLD Speaking & Workshops

Designed to provide customized opportunities to meet the needs of your community or organization by advancing the mission and vision of the BOLD Leadership Network

Understanding the Landscape

“Teachers of color end up leaving the profession for a number of reasons: being silenced, being a minority among colleagues, lack of upward mobility and opportunities to grow, feeling powerless, being left out of conversations about legislation and policy.”

— Learning for Justice

Our Allies are the Difference

Here's what our partners have to say

“BOLD leadership provides a safe space for black male leaders to communicate, support, and encourage each other.  This type of space has been missing among black leaders in SC.”

— JoKethia Seabrook, 3FG Consulting, LLC

“BOLD is a necessary and timely group of leaders filling a void in our community. I am all in to support as needed.”

— Meghan Barp, CEO, United Way of Greenville County

"BOLD is one of the most important groups to be formed in South Carolina, for one of the most important reasons I can imagine. Honored to stand with you."

— TJ Rumler, TJ Rumler Consulting

BOLD is a Choice

At BOLD, we know we cannot do this work alone. We need partners, allies, buddies and givers to make our mission possible.
